Concussion designer, Charlie Howlett, and agency partner/ecd, Andrew Yanez, claimed an Award of Merit as a finalist at the prestigious One Show Awards held at the Chelsea Art Museum in New York City May 6th. The award was for a logomark created for Quicksilver Gas Services.Other finalists in the international design competition included BBDO, Crispin Porter + Bogusky, Landor Associates, Leo Burnett and Ogilvy, among others. “Not bad company, but a few of those guys could use a shower,” noted Yanez.One Show Design, now in its eighth year, rewards innovation and celebrates excellence in design in advertising, branding, and other forms of visual communication. The One Club recognizes that great design has its own place in the business of creative problem solving. The winning work is published in the first One Show Design: The Year’s Best Communication Design.
