Main St. Fort Worth Arts Festival, which draws 300,000 revelers yearly, has claimed the International Festival & Events Association’s 2008 Grand Pinnacle Award for excellence in event marketing and promotion. Earlier this year Main St. won the Texas Festivals and Events Association’s Zenith Award — its highest honor for marketing excellence.
Concussion, along with Pinkerton Design and Diane Wolfe, ink provided advertising, design and publicity in coordination with producer, Jay Downie, for the popular, 24-year-old event. The advertising campaign included juxtaposed elements of visual and performing arts, as well as other aspects of the festival, with headlines such as “Impressionism and Lyricism” and “Art Deco and Zydeco.” The Grand Pinnacle Award was selected from among 1,500 entries submitted from around the globe.
